Concerns raised Over State of Yeadon Cemetery

Recently I was contacted (via this site) with regards to the current state of Yeadon Cemetery.

The resident concerned wonders whether Yeadon residents receive the same level of service when he states

‘I would like to draw your attention to the disgraceful state of Yeadon Cemetery’

‘We complain and a chap comes with a strimmer, chops it down leaving the site in a worse state than ever’

‘As you are no doubt aware, this is a war cemetery. what a joke, any visitors would be outraged’

‘Lawnswood is by and large pristine’, Rawdon a showcase, is this at the expense of Yeadon?’

Overgrown area of Yeadon Cemetery

Maybe but there may also  be a rational reason why areas of Yeadon Cemetery are left to grow wild and it is for that reason I have written to the Head of Parks & Countryside and to the Executive Board member responsible asking them to respond to the residents concerns.

I’ll provide an update when I receive one.
