Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) provide a number of services out of Otley Clinic & Yeadon Health Centre. These proposals will result in significantly reduced services. (Reduction in service appears in bold for ease of identification)

Above is the ‘overarching’ consultation with reasons for the review of estate and services. If you wish to take part in the consultation details are available above.

Below is a summary of the services under review.

Adult Dietetics (this service is currently provided at Yeadon Health Centre on 1 and 1/2 days. It is proposed to reduce this to 1 day a week. There does not appear to be a service in Otley)

Cardiac Rehab (no change in provision affecting Otley & Yeadon)

Children’s Newborn Hearing (Currently provided at Otley Clinic. It is proposed to make patients travel into Leeds to the General Infirmary. This seems to ignore the service (and hearing rooms) available at Wharfedale Hospital)

Children’s Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) (Currently provided at Otley Clinic. Proposed to move to Yeadon HC, which at 4.1 miles from Otley is the furthest distance to travel of any residents in the city (using LCH’s document))

Continence, Urology and Colorectal Services (CUCS) (Currently provided at Yeadon HC on a basis of two full days (Thurs & Fri) and three mornings (Mon, Tue, Wed). Proposal is to reduce service to three full days (Mon, Tue & Fri)

Garforth Clinic (Proposed to close.)

Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) (Currently provided at Westgate Surgery and Otley Clinic in Otley and Yeadon HC. No change in provision proposed)

Podiatry (Currently provided in GP surgeries. Proposal to stop GP sessions and reprovide in Yeadon HC)
